Sometimes we face hard decisions
Right when everything makes sense we think
Could it be a local optima or a global one
Which in one case another move may take us to where we want to be or the other case will take us lower than what we have experienced indefinitely
Now here is a question
Is it a gamble to know what is what or there is a way to go?
Is it greed that must be our drive or there is a minimum standard we want to have
The thing is theoretically, we become ruthless when our basic needs are done. Humans are made in the shape of animals and they have animal drives.
As long as we are oppressed by our needs, the more in pain we are and dealing with pain sucks up enough energy that before a full day gets complete, we end up not moving much.
For us ordinary men, pain and scars make calluses in our souls that after a certain point, we become immune to that certain kind of pain. Think of it as an armour. Then we realize we can keep away from what is painful and think about it. The funny thing is what we find is the source of pain is usually someone in greater pain who is seeking power and exerting it to us. Like a bleeding monster who doesn’t want to heal because that demands love and hard work. So in their power and pain, they swing their arms and injure everyone around them thinking that control soothes their pain but in fact, it does nothing but bringing misery to the collective.
That is why I am ashamed of what I think about humanity which is: mental castration is necessary to put us in our places. And those who are more conscious, have to trim the hedges quite often as an act of care.
