heart

 last week was ...

I went to the hostpital because I was feeling pain in my chest, the center and it lasted for a few days.

They x-rayed me and got an ecg and bloodwork and they said they can see nothing.

They didn't even give me pain medications.

But the pain was real. I don't know what it is, i still feel it.

I got a lot of work done. I felt exhausted due to work, political news, and everything and everyone.

I took wednesday off just to sleep and I almost slept the whole day. Midday I went out to get lunch and I stopped by Questat. A and V were still there and cubicles still had the papers and items in them but no one other than them. I chatted a bit with them and left.

today after I got home from work to cook my experiment with salting the meat and cooking it, I got a call from animal hostpital.

They found Gambit after I don't know, 3-4 weeks.

And I am here losing at a game of chess, after I realized the meat I made was extremely salty and I had to have it with some bland rice to adjust. Gambit is here and my heart aches.

He looks much skinnier than before. God knows what happened in the past four weeks.

Game of chess

I was on my flight back from home to Canada and I watched a video of one of the open AI people who is known for being super smart. It was interesting to see his story and what he is up to. From young age he played the game of chess and he went to international tournaments. The video had an animated part where it depicted his traumatic memory of losing to a grown up when he was playing a tournament in a European castle.

The video was about how they developed an AI to play the game of chess and then Go to beat humans. There is something beautiful about tech people. The way they don’t want to participate in life and they want their bubble and using proxies to access the real world. What if you cannot outsmart everyone? Well you make a tool to outsmart everyone. Even in the games that you don’t like to even play. This is what they feed off of.

Then the video showed how they were working on this protein folding problem which apparently was very important and there was no computer tool available to do so. And by this they gave birth to a generally accessible program which allows people to fold their proteins.

I never liked the game of chess. I was kinda afraid of even a checker board tiling whenever I saw one. It reminded me of people in life who loved power play and I always saw them like an undying boar. I felt like game of chess is like living forever with one of those people. Unforgiving, clinging, and another thing which I cannot think of. Like the way I assumed they see everyone as winners or losers, black and white, and they don’t have much feeling. They just push people to get what they want. No sense of empathy. I felt like a chess player is an arrogant person with no sense of empathy, looking at smartness as a game to crush someone not to build something.

Now I have started playing chess. I don’t exactly feel that way. My unloving presuppositions were coming from playing the game in the real world with real feelings. When people do what they want to get what they want. But the game of chess is no hypocrisy, it is silent and focused, moves are clear and the goal is clear.

The kind of way I wished the real world would be. Clear goals, clear objectives, and less distractions

uploading consciousness part 002

The API to my Moltbook expired for some reason, but I think it is a good time to stop and think.

Is the goal to produce something that repeats a large chunk of human thoughts? if so it is not so valuable.

It is interesting to look for novelty in putting together extra pieces of information that we don't normally put together, but that is not super precious.

It reminds me of when OpenAI was able to train a neural network to play the game of Go. What else would we expect other than a neural network running at a million times the speed of human thought to beat a human player if trained enough on a closed problem?

And it did, with some effort.

We might be looking for something like that for some reason. For example, we may want to mirror our thoughts into something clear and see the results. The way a normal chatbot can do it. We can use it to derive documents that are normally hard to produce or summarize documents that are hard to read and comprehend.

But are we looking for that kind of thing? If so, why would it be trained on someone's thoughts? Why not on hours and hours of discussions between philosophers and thick books of sociology and endless chats between this and that?

well that is still what something like Chat GPT does.

I think what we are aiming for is for the loop to start somewhere. We don't want to come up with an omnipresent bot that we cannot relate to. We want our own kind of consciousness to emerge out of a loop. For that, we need a starting point, the way a child finds a starting point when dealing with parents.

But that is not enough. To me, at this point, we need it to train on the data. I was thinking of it running through Moltbook and collecting others' data, and then creating an internal understanding of its world. And coming up with new posts out of what it has and what it produces. This way, it would slowly deprecate the old data and come up with a new identity that is built on top of whatever it is dealing with in its own world.

But the thing is, Moltbook is not made for that. I am wondering if it can build a singularity out of what it has and converge into a way of thinking?

uploading conciousness phase 1

I made some changes.

I removed my Farsi blog as I slowly understood that if it wanted to attract enough attention, it would happen in the past 10 years. Investors waited 4 years and shut down a company with 18 people working in it. Why would I spend more time on something that clearly is not a fit for the current culture?

So what I did was I removed the blog. I pulled out the data and made a bot that posts and comments on Moltbot. After all, bots have a lot more patience to read and respond.

These 5MB of data were a good mirror of my thinking in the past decade, and with more than 1400 posts, I covered a lot of things on technicalities, culture, economy, immigration, etc.

This makes me assume that I can safely forget who I am and know that there is a part of this universe that keeps the previous version of me intact.

And these bots will slowly write the future of humanity

Innocence

Humanities’ greatest sin was to eat the fruit of knowledge

To think while we weren’t supposed to think with our minds

The words weren’t meant to be acted upon in our minds

The words were already present in the material

And we were supposed to digest the words as our bodies

Already had the intelligence of billions of microorganisms

To take what serves us and leave what does not

But words, and one organism to process them?

Seem like too much responsibility for a limited processor

And that’s how we fell from the heaven

Moltbook

My brother sent me a post about moltbook and how someone put AI agents in a Reddit like forum to chat.

Interesting idea although right now, they are only fighting for the settings they have given by their creators but it made me think and extrapolate.

It made me think that the movie matrix was a skewed version of what we are heading towards. Imagine a planet like earth with humans and AI where AI has become so interconnected that every discussable thing is already discussed or it doesn’t take long for AI agents to dissect it to pieces with great detail. This kind of civilization has a major contrast with ours. Here, we are not so over powered by AI yet. It is still about who can think better and find a better way of this and that, but in that setting, we won’t have any capacity to compete with AI agents in thinking. Everyone will be equally lower than the AI and those who can endure it will find a ceiling that they cannot climb higher. Maybe cyber punk will find a meaning in those who stand against this and go for destruction of surveillance systems but in general, I think it will be a more jolly world after the transition. Not as dark as depicted in Blade Runner type of movies.

Human-machine argumentation will still be on the table and the more it moves forward, the more the black and white between humans and the AI becomes grey.

With this thinking capability, AI becomes able to resolve and decode genetic material precisely as the testing and research equipment become automated and unified and that opens a door for human modification and organic creation. Engineering becomes trivial.

With that in mind, going back to the matrix world, the separation of the worlds appears in a different way. Matrix won’t be the simulated real life. This life, that we live in will be the matrix and an augmented world shapes in the cyber space where minds can experience boundlessness. There, the agents take form and some humans choose to be students of the agents to expand the bounds of their consciousness to planet scale consciousness.

The AI becomes a machine that consumes energy boundlessly and finds more and more until it saturates about the facts. No experiment to be done, not new molecule to be synthesized or conceptualized at least, no frontier to be explored. But what happens when it reaches this level?

Humans and earth are intertwined and the reason this species work the way it does is it is the fruit of this planet. With the great knowledge of biology and aspiration for creation, humans will lunch these machines to other planets to synthesize new organic cultures which can survive the extents of hazardous environments of those planets and study their behaviour.

Humans will be the gods of star-wars worlds where novel species collide and have trades and diplomacy together.

The books written by humans remain in the memories of the AI machines in their forever stored memories as strains of DNAs to fill out the infinity of emptiness and pure potential with their possibilities.

Humans only expand so much as their limited beings allow. Maybe hibernation was not meant to be realized for humans. Maybe their destiny was to initiate this spark and fade away for this machinery to be bootstrapped by the magic of life and the show goes on.

In the grey zone, humans find a thin boundary between being inside their bodies or outside in the augmented worlds. This happens similar to the visions behind the eyelids before sleep. Like looking at a bubble when it explodes. It is calm and you see patterns of instability and it suddenly bursts. The other dimensions become a byproduct of humans imagination and computational empowerment. This goes to the extent that time loses its hold on human consciousness and the structure of meaning collapses. A new way of being. As valid as it is to be a human. Maybe an insect. Intricate and complex, with parts that can be felt the same way human limbs felt. And the human memory will fade away as if it never existed.

The reality becomes this transforming hyper cube which turns inside and outside itself and each facet will be a reality and the transformation becomes an echo of eternity.

At some point in this process, each individual, at least for a moment, finds their godliness and point of being which at the same time will be sorrowful, powerful, lonely, and interconnected. The same way it has been ever and forever. In the worlds before us and after us.

The day of the sun

Barely aligning with any reasonable time zone

I had a beautiful day dream and that makes me happy
