Idolization

I just saw a linked in post from an Iranian person who was admiring Reza Pahlavi.

I couldn’t stop myself from thinking how many times does a loop have to happen till we learn anything front it. Making an idol from someone and giving them power to solve our problems to later see their imperfections and then demonizing them for their lack of perfection.

Humans are made imperfect and we are meant to do business. We are dirty in essence and we need to push away what we don’t want to have inside from our body and soul almost every day.

All the days in life and all the interactions and all the patterns in history teach us that no human is capable of maintaining perfection for an extended period of time. The more they keep on going the more they need to push away problems and that erodes them from inside making them become tyrants or unreasonable people.

Some people are different than others. Those who take responsibility and deal with imperfections and find their way in life without brute control and domination find an organic way of fixing the problems. They absorb the problems inside and they let them digest and become part of themselves and then, they share themselves with the outside world.

That is how they carry the weight of existence not with broad strokes of blood and starvation to sacrifice those who believe in them.

But we still have a long way to go.
