Hi
As an engineer, getting to know systems for development is a big part of my job. I think it is a mental exercise that some people like more than others. Systems have their own personalities and sometimes they are hard to understand, sometimes they are stubborn, sometimes they are unpredictable in ways that catch you off guard, and what I like the most about them is sometimes they have little resonance points that make them beautiful.
Sometimes it might be costly and dangerous to have a system in their resonance point. I like to work with the ones that are not like that and many systems have a resonance that is damped. It gives me a feeling of livelihood. It feels like they understand the back-and-forth transactions and show their intrinsic complexity. It shows that there are points in their behavior in which they spin around and aim for perpetual motion. of course, it is not everlasting and damps but witnessing the hope for excitation is beautiful.
For me, my cup of tea every day is such a beautiful system to look at. The residual leaves of tea at the bottom of the cup move in such a beautiful way. Sometimes if you move the cup properly you can spin the liquid in a way that pulls up the leaves in a spiral motion to the top and then you can see their fall to the bottom. A system of finite but many elements. So many that it makes it seem like flowing in a completely ideal space only governed by the laws of physics. A few inputs and a beautiful output.
